The short version
This site sets no cookies, has no sign-in and runs no advertising or third-party trackers. We count visits to understand which pages are useful, at country level and without storing who you are.
Visit counting
We use Umami, an analytics tool we run ourselves. For each page view it records the page path (search terms and other query strings are dropped), the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and your country. It does not record your region or city.
Your IP address is not stored. Umami derives a visitor code from it to tell visits apart, and that code changes every month, so visits can't be linked across months. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is recorded. Visit data is kept for 13 months and is never sold or shared.
Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes requests to serve the pages and protect them from abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page loads, without cookies.
Live figures
The numbers on the home page are refreshed from the public API of our consumer trackers: your browser fetches them from rtx.live without sending any cookies.
